Retiree Information – Digital Enrollment Information

As we continue to provide your enrollment information digital, it is crucial that we have an accurate email address for you to receive regular, time-sensitive information.

  • If we have your email address on file, an electronic fillable PDF enrollment package has been emailed to you.
  • If we don’t have an email address on file, an enrollment package was mailed to your home address.
  • If your email address has changed or if you have not previously provided one, we encourage you to provide us the information at this time by sending us an email to MDCPSRetiree@fbmc.com to update our records. Please include your name and employee number.

What You Need to Know:

Important Enrollment Information:

The current healthcare plans and/or Flexible Benefits will continue to be offered for the 2022 plan year. Therefore, the following will occur:

Under Age 65 or Over Age 65 and Not Medicare Eligible

  • Beginning January 2022, FBMC will invoice and collect premiums for the Cigna Healthcare plans. Therefore, to continue your payments via FRS Payroll Deductions, you must return your completed FRS Payroll Deduction Authorization form.
  • If you and your dependent are currently enrolled in a Cigna healthcare plan and do not wish to make any changes, your benefit will continue for the 2022 plan year. There are no plan design changes to the benefits being offered.
  • If you have an eligible Over 65 and/or Medicare eligible dependent currently enrolled in a Medicare sponsored healthcare plan, their benefit will continue for the 2022 plan year; however, plan design and premium changes will apply. To make changes to the Medicare plan, they must contact the healthcare company directly.
  • If you and your dependent are currently enrolled in Flexible Benefits and do not wish to make any changes, your benefits will continue for the 2022 plan year. There are no plan design changes to the benefits being offered.
  • If you would like to make changes to your and/or your dependent’s current benefits, complete and return your Open Enrollment form by the enrollment deadline.
  • If you are currently covering an Adult Child dependent (age 26 – 30), their benefit will continue for the 2022 plan year.  However, you must resubmit dependent eligibility documentation, even if previously submitted. Failure to submit the required dependent eligibility documentation will result in the termination of your Adult Child coverage, effective December 31, 2021.

The current Medicare healthcare plans, Prescription Drug Plans (PDP) and/or Flexible Benefits continue to be offered for the 2022 plan year. Therefore, the following will occur:

Over Age 65 and/or Medicare Eligible

  • If you and your dependent are currently enrolled in a Medicare sponsored healthcare plan and do not wish to make any changes, your benefit will continue for the 2022 plan year; however, plan design and premium changes will apply.
  • If you are currently covering dependents in a Cigna (non-Medicare) healthcare plan, their benefit will continue for the 2022 plan year. There are no plan design changes to the benefits being offered.
  • If you and your dependent are currently enrolled in Flexible Benefits and do not wish to make any changes, your benefits will continue for the 2022 plan year. There are no plan design changes to the benefits being offered.
  • If you and/or your dependent would like to change your current Medicare plan, you must contact the healthcare company directly to enroll.
  • If you would like to make changes to your and/or your dependent’s current Flexible benefits or your dependent’s Cigna (non-Medicare) healthcare plan, you must complete and return your Open Enrollment form by the enrollment deadline.
  • If you are currently covering an Adult Child dependent (age 26 – 30) in a Cigna (non-Medicare) healthcare plan, their benefit will continue for the 2022 plan year.  However, you must resubmit dependent eligibility documentation, even if previously submitted.
